Looking For a
Licensed Bat Worker?
Look No Further!
With over a decade of specialist ecological expertise, EP Ecology can deliver for you.
What is a Licensed Bat Worker?
Bats are a European Protected Species. This means that they are offered the highest level of protection throughout the UK. As a result, in development projects, bat presence on a site is one of the material concerns that the planners must consider.
Licensed bat workers like EP Ecology provide specialist expertise to developers and planning agents on bats. We provide surveys with robust data which inform assessments and help decision makers assess a project.
The reports we prepare are used by Planning Authorities to determine whether a development will affect bats. They are also used by designers and architects to make a development more newt friendly.
A Comprehensive Service
At EP Ecology, we don’t believe in the “bare minimum”. Our ethos is to strive to deliver the very best for both our clients and for biodiversity.
For our bat survey service, this includes a discussion with you about the best plan of action for your site, a preliminary roost assessment to determine whether bats are likely to be present, a full suite of surveys to identify and characterise roosts, details of any mitigation and compensation that may required or an assessment of effects, and assistance with any licensing and site work for your proposals.
A Pragmatic Approach
We take a pragmatic approach to every project. All of our reports and recommendations are data driven, whether it’s from personal experience or scientific reference.
At EP Ecology, we always aim to deliver an approach which is to-scale for the project.
