Invasive Species Survey
Not all of what we look for is protected – sometimes, invasive species are the ecology constraint that needs dealt with. EP Ecology are able to identify invasive weeds and keep you right.
Invasive Weed Identification
At EP Ecology, our ecology specialists are always on the lookout for invasive weeds when we visit your sites. This helps us keep you right when it comes to your legal requirements. From Japanese knotweed to Himalayan balsam and giant hogweed – and plenty in between, our team can identify these invasive species constraints and work to support you in getting them eradicated.
Japanese knotweed (Fallopia japonica) is one of the “big bad” invasive weeds which can affect clients trying to get a mortgage.
Bees love Himalayan balsa (Impatiens glandulifera) but this invasive weed is an annual with shallow roots that can cause significant damage to waterway banks.
Giant hogweed (Heracleum mantegazzianum) has toxic sap which can cause severs light-reactive burns.
