Habitat and Species Protection Plans

EP Ecology can support clients in producing documents which dictate how protected and notable species or habitats will be conserved and protected during the lifetime of a project.

Protection Plans

These include mandatory obligations for site staff to follow a set of protocols which safeguard protected species or habitats, often under supervision of an ecologist. They can also set out the procedures that must be followed in the event of a failure of mitigation or other unexpected event on site. EP Ecology and our associates are experienced in preparing protection plans and delivering on-site ecological clerk of works.

Part of mitigating the effects of development and delivering on any protected species licenses includes the preparation of habitat or species protection plans. These documents set out how key ecology features are protected post-consent. e.g. during the construction and operational phases of a development.
